Castelo dos Mouros
This box is a tribute to the Castelo dos Mouros, built during the 9th century by the Moors in order to keep the city of Sintra.
The fate of Sintra remained associated with that of Lisbon, which would later be reconquered by the forces of Afonso VI of León, to return to Muslim rule in 1095, until he finally surrendered to D. Afonso Henriques (1112-1185) in 1147.
