This box is a tribute to D. Duarte I (1391-1438), eleventh king of Portugal, the second of the Dynasty of Avis where his reign lasted five years.
It was marked by the passage of Cabo Bojador by Gil, which allowed the exploration of the African coast and the promotion of maritime exploration.
